Fuel Regulator Problem

I purchased a holley fuel regulator to put on my 91 firebird, i am running the electronic pump from the tank to the carb 350 i put in. Problem is, the regulator is not doing much at all to bring down the pressure the fuel comes out with. any help is appreciated.

Re: Fuel Regulator Problem

From racing use (wet nitrous) those holley style regulators dont work for HIGH to low pressure apps.

Do you mean the stock electric in-tank pump? If so, you don't want to be using that regulator. It is a dead-head type, and the stock type in-tank pump needs constant flow. Get a return style reg like the Mallory 4309.

FWIW, that Holley reg does fine on the '57 with the Aeromotive SS pump.
