replacing fuel pump

I'm going to replace my rearend with one I'm rebuilding and I figure its a good time to drop the tank and replace the pump/sending unit....I'm thinking of dropping in a carbed 350 in the future so do I replace the pump with an origional or upgrade and add a regulator so I can still run my existing 305 TBI? Thanks

Re: replacing fuel pump

Just the pump and sending unit would be fine.

a TPI fuel pump would be a good choice, since the original will be lacking when you upgrade to the 350. The stock regulator will keep it around 11-13 psi so you don't need to change that.

Re: replacing fuel pump

hi , i have a fuel pump question...i have a edelbrock 1405 carb on my 350 with stock fuel pump....does it need to have lower producing psi pump or fuel regulator to adjust the psi to the recommended 6 psi by edelbrock on their carbs?,.,,any sense to this?
