Hi Guys, I don't have a 3rd Gen, BUT I do have a SBC in my 4WD ( Toyota ). I lurk here for the Chevy info. I put some spring loaded needle and seats in my 1850 Holley this wkend, and was trying to remember the info in the Holley Tuning sticky. I " think " I messed up with the adjustment on the secondary adj screw, trying to get it open a little, while trying to keep the primary transition slot like a little square box in shape. It idles at a high rpm, even with the adj screws on the primary side screwed in . How do I get back to a close to stock setting on the Vac Sec screw? Motor is a 350, Edelbrock EPS man, 600 Holley, CCx cam ( 210/218, .447/.462, 111LC ). Any help appreciated. Al

Sorry, I'm talking about the small one that you get to from the bottom of the carb, if you were holding it in your hands. Make sense? Thanks, Al

You DON'T set the secondary throttle plates to uncover any of the off-idle transition slot on the secondary bores. That type of "visual adjustment" only applies to the primary side throttles/bores.

Back the adjustment screw out until the secondary throttles are fully closed in their bores and then open again about 1/2 to 3/4 turn from there. You should see no secondary transition slot showing, but it should be reasonablye close to showing if you open the secondary throttles are opened slightly.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Tried the search, not much there using the terms I put in, and even bought a SA Holley book from Auto Zone. No luck. Many thanks, Al
