carb bogging under accel - need help fast!

I have a 1985 Camaro that originally had fuel injection & now has a carb. Here is the comb info:
350 out of 1989 Formula
stock heads / ZZ4 GM cam / Headman 1 5/8 headers / Edlebrock performer RPM intake / Edelbrock 1406 carb
car has electric fuel pump with return regulator. runs fine at idle/part throttle but bogs under heavy acceleration. I messed with timing & fuel pressure - no luck. I've swapped distributers & carbs - no luck. Need help fast, I'm driving it to Thirdgen fest tomorrow. The one thing I'm not sure of is the tank vent?? there is no canister in the car, but it has the round thing from the top of the can. It has 2 vac ports, one says vac & the other says cansiter. how is this supposed to be hooked up to this setup?? I've tried hooking up a vac line to the vac port but it does not change anything. Please Help.

Sounds like a bad accelerator pump in the carb.

hi , my guess is too much fuel--did you say it has fuel pressure regulator?...edelbrocks run best with 5.5 psi to 6psi max fuel pressure...
i had the same problem and i installed an inline fuel pressure regulator and it runs fine now...hope this helps.
