my Q-Jet is flooding out so bad that the car won't even start. other than a complete rebuild or a new carb has anybody got any suggestions as to what i can to to fix it thanks

There are two reasons a carb floods:

1) Fuel pressure is too high
2) The float needle/seat aren't shutting off the flow.

#1 isn't too likely, but does happen. #2 is more often than not due to crud in the needle/seat, but sometimes due to a float that doesn't float anymore.

Another condition is sometimes confused for flooding - the choke isn't opening properly. The effect is too much fuel in the intake, so I suppose that isn't too much of a misnomer.

92RS converted to carb? High fuel pressure becomes more likely BUT I'd disconnect the fuel line to the carb and fill the bowl manually as a test before assuming anything.
