I just purchased the adapter that is needed and will be attempting to do my self.
Any heads up? befrore I learn the hard way would be greatly appricated
Thanks in advance, Carl

thay make a TV cable stud to put on it, you may have to adjust it or get a universal TV but its done all the time
You need a "geometry corrector bracket" that bolts onto an Edelbrock throttle arm. A stud alone won't cut it, as there isn't any place to properly mount the stud. The corrector bracket includes a stud that the TV cable will connect to.
Thank you five you know what I'm into I just learned of that corrector and purchased it along with the bracket needed. You guys help a lot of people its a good site glad i found it.
FYI.. I made my own tv cable linkage by taking it off an other carb, and attaching it to my carb. My quad was from a manual so I rigged it myself. I had to place it w/the right geometry. It worked well.

we used the factory barcket (from a qudra) on a friends edelbrock just installed the stud on the bottom of the throttle plate thingy that the gas pedal hooks up to, it worked fine for many of miles till he blew the engine up.......now that edelbrock may of had an aftermarket throttle plate on it, IDK, but his dad had the carb on a K5
I used one of these, and I really like it. It's much sturdier than any other I found - doesn't flex with throttling - there's alot of pressure there with the throttle cable and TV cable, and the Spectre stuff just doesn't cut it.
I know this is an older thread, but does anyone have a brand and part# for the geometry corrector?
The parts guys around here arent very smart when it comes to stuff like this.
