upper rad. hose issues

ok i have searched and come up with no good answer i have a 92 T/A i swapped from TPI to carb on my intake i have one of the straight chrome water necks i cant find a hose to fit. i had one i thought would work but it hit the alt. now it has a hole in it. what hose do i use? i cant afford to replace the water neck or to get a flex hose right now. i can barely afford a hose. what do i do??

Re: upper rad. hose issues

well to tell the truth the last hose i bought for an 1992 camaro rs with a 305 i installed on a water neck that went to the side. but i know for sure it would have fit on a striaght water neck. i do know that a tpi engine has a straight water neck on it.

i hope you took everything off including every nut bolt wire and computer in front of the firewall and behind it.
it is worth some good money.
305 people like me are always looking to change out the tbi for tpi.
i bought a complete system from a 350 - everything.

the tpi water neck went to the side and it was long. i tried it before i sold the setup it wasnt gonna work. my father in law has a hose from a tbi camaro and it wont fit a straight waterneck it curls over and collapses he has to go back the the turned one becouse it wouldnt fit the straight one he had.

Re: upper rad. hose issues

Why not use the neck and hose from a car that was originally carbed? That would be vehicles up to 1987. Should work fine.
