Re: weber carb question

How many CFM is it supposed to flow?
The only intake I can immediately think of that mounts a weber to a SBC is an Offy cross ram... and you need three webers to use that.
Do you have it mounted to the engine yet?
Can you post pics of it?

Re: weber carb question

That type of weber... what was I thinking... I believe they are mostly the same as edelbrock and carter carbs, which I know are commonly put in our cars.

i have 2 edelbrock carbs in my garage and both have that weber casting mark. you have a edelbrock carb, the 1405 part number is an edelbrock number.

its really too small for your app, sell it

Re: weber carb question

I am pretty unfamiliar with edelbrocks, but 600 cfm is to small for even the mildest of 350's. At least you can make the car run with that carb on it.

Re: weber carb question

crap no way its too small. darn it because i have built it a little. so what would you suggest carbs wise? i have it bored .30 over, a 262/.420 cam, long tube headers, 202 heads thats the most of it performance wise. so what about a holly 750 double pumper would that one be better? i mean i guess it dont matter for me since i am selling the car as soon as i get the engine finished and running.

Re: weber carb question

If you just want to get it running to sell it, you might as well put the edelbrock on.
It will run, but it won't perform as well as a larger carb would. Since you probably have an auto trans, stay away from a double pumper.

Weber makes Edelbrock's carbs. Somebody popped the Edelbrock nameplate off of yours.
