Altenator wire question after tpi swap

hello all

i have a question about the 3 wire altenator!

it has 3 wires

S F L P

S: Red ( to constant 12v)
F: Tan/White ( go from 1 wire to 2 wires to the fan relay and plug)
L: Brown ( ignition 12v)
P: xxxxx

so now i have splice the hole ecm wiring
and now there is one wire left from the altenator and that`s the Tan/White wire thats come from the altenator!

what must i do with this wire?
must or can i use it for anything?
or is it like a 2 wire plug altenator now?because i don`t have the tpi anymore.

Dennis

Re: Altenator wire question after tpi swap

the tan/white wire is the regulator turn on switch. that wire needs to get power from the ignition, or your alternator won't pump out any juice.
