well i put a holley 600cfm modified to replace the old carb, it was dumping fuel into my motor even wen it was not running. well the guy that sold me the carb helped me tune it perfectly so that the motor idels at 500-600rpm and still idels smooth. well every 3 days i have to bleed pressure of the floats cas they build pressure and wen i bleed them off they hiss from all the pressure and i notice this since somtimes wen i hamer down on it afterwards the motor wants to die and it takes about 5-10min for the motor to run right again. iv been told its my fuel pump and thats y the old carb was dumping extra gas but its only a stock fuel pump
Put an inline fuel pressure gauge on it, if you are getting more than 6lbs, you need an an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Holley makes a couple of different models. I run my 383 at 6.5 lbs, but your 350 shouldn't need more than 6lbs....
Why are you bleeding off pressure?????
well it seems every time i release the pressure, the motor doesnt chug and sputter for 5-10 min wen i hammer down on it, but that could be somethhing else
Have you tried checking float levels? They can be adjusted. Go to Holley's website and look up your specific carb. If the float levels are ok, which I doubt they are, then you need to do a pressure check....
