600cfm too small? - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I have a 600cfm edelbrock performer carb 4 barrel, im putting nitrous on my camaro next month, 100 shot, maybe 150, is the carb i have good enough? or will it hamper the nitrous or anything like that?

What kind of system, a plate?

It definitely wouldn't cause restrictions for a plate, as the nitrous and fuel are sprayed into the intake plenum.

If you were talking a Sneaky Pete or something that sprays into the air cleaner, that's a different story (but those usually aren't as big as 100).

Your max RPMs shouldn't change with the nitrous (still a function of the cam).

So, a 600 CFM on a "mild" 350 will be fine, even with nitrous.
