Rochester Quadrajet in 1984 T/A

Hi all.

I've been looking at my carby in the last day or so and noticed something that seems weird. The part number or application number is 17059596 2401 CXL.

Is this right for a 5L V8 '84 engine?

Cheers

Jonno

Re: Rochester Quadrajet in 1984 T/A

Nope.
17084208 is an L69 automatic Monte Carlo #
17084201 is an LG4 automatic Monte Carlo / Caprice maybe Camaro #.
Yours probably had the CCC system removed if it's a U.S. model.

Re: Rochester Quadrajet in 1984 T/A

Cheers for that.
It may of been changed when the engine was rebuilt. Should I consider changing it back to an original?

Thanks
PS. Im guessing CCC stands for Computer controlled carb?

You would only need the CCC model if you want to go back to stock/factory specs or you if you need to pass emissions.
