Holley 300-28 Intake Manifold, any good?

I have an oppurtunity to get a holley 300-28Z intake manifold used for $70. It has EGR and can take a quadrajet. Can anyone tell me what RPM range this one would be effedctive over. It is a dual plane high rise. Ideally Id like an intake manifold that would work to 6000+ as I plan on a XE262 cam. Thanks in advance.

well if it is anything like the weiand action plus manifold (weiand I beleive is a sub-company of holley) I would advise against it. My action plus works ok, but ALL of the bolt holes for the carb and the egr were too shallow and I had to use at least 2 washers on every bolt to make it tight enough. also there was a bolt hole that was drilled too far into the manifold and it was in the coolant passage. It leaked for days until I figured it out. Also, the holes for the throttle and cruise control bracket were not in the stock location and I had to bend my bracket so the cables wouldn't bind. You might find more info about it in the aftermarket product review board.
John

P.S. the xe262 cam's rpm range is only from ~1300-5600rpm, not 6k+
