Warning Do Not Buy From/Sell to Nicholas Bauer of Carson City Nevada

On October 24, 2002 I made a deal in the thirdgen.org chat room for the sale of a set of Dropzone Springs by Nicholas Bauer of Carson City, Nevada. He was paid on the 25th for the springs. He claimed he bought the springs on eBay and they were supposedly too low for his car. He took my money happily and then said on the 26th that he was unable to get them out due to a "state holiday" on 10/25.

He then disappeared.

I managed to contact him 2 weeks later about these springs trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, trying not to think of him as a thief, and he claimed that he was out of town on a "business trip and would get them out asap, the shipping department at work weren't able to send them" I said fine, get them out this week. Sure.

He then disappeared for another week or so before trying to sneak into the chat room again under the pseudonym TGOGuest. He then admitted to being who he was after it being pointed out that he was actually who he was. So, he said that he was not telling the whole truth and that he was having financial problems blah blah blah and would get them out "for sure" that week. Off he goes, poof.

He has not contacted me since then.

I emailed his wife and she claimed that she would have him get the springs out right away. Unfortunately two weeks later neither of them have replied to me again so I'm probably out of luck as far as that goes.

I'll provide some info so hopefully you guys won't get taken by this guy...

His name is Nicholas Bauer, and main internet nickname is teknick2000. His eBay nickname is Teknick2000. He sometimes uses the pseudonym Slow305, as he did in the chat room. The two email addresses he uses are teknick2000@hotmail.com and borderline@sbcglobal.net, possibly mrs.bauer@sbcglobal.net, but it's hard to say. He has a website at www.teknick2000.com and another at http://www.ourchurch.com/view/?pageID=107919

This confuses me greatly. He is supposedly the leader of a christian Motorcyle Ministry, but he seems to think that stealing is a-ok judging from his actions.

So, I just hope that this will serve as a warning so no one will make the mistake of getting taken by this guy.

This is Nick Bauer. I am sorry for the way this deal went down. For the record, Paul (INWO) didn't do anything wrong here, it was all my fault. I have shipped the springs via UPS, and he will have them on December 16th, 2002. Here is the tracking number if any of you wish to verify:

BTW, www.teknick2000.com , while I do own the domain, has not and never has been designed by me. I bought it not for web space but other uses. Either way it isn't anyone's business but mine. I am not here to cause trouble, never was. And Paul hasn't contacted me with any other issues so I am certain that the matter was resolved to his satisfaction. I have been banned from the chat room due to this issue, so you don't have to be bothered with me there. I do post on this forum, and if you don't like me, dont read what I write. I'm not even sure why this is an issue.

I was just going to let this thread die but I guess I'll post a follow up.

The springs were delivered as Nick pointed out and I can't complain about them. Everything is resolved as far as I can tell.

I don't have any control over the chat room, if you're banned you'll have to take that up with the mods. As far as I'm concerned this issue is finished, no need to continue bothering Mr. Bauer over this unfortunate situation.
