What a lot of trouble to get some parts......for $100?
I would have been on his door step with an intent to break his face right open as soon as he answered the door!
here are some seller/buyer tips:
#1 pay-pal will refund your money if you don't recieve your items.
did he have proof of shipping, NO, ---k'em. wheter it's his fault or not, you are waiting more than 2-weeks with no parts, it's your money, if he didn't operate with a CYOA policy, then who should be concerned? He obviously is incapable of sending or does not have the parts in the first place. He could have spent the extra 0.75 for cert. mail or just spent less altogether at UPS w/$100 included insurance....and a tracking #.
You recieved the package, and are looking for more $$?? What kind of ****e is that? How can he proove that?
It reminds me of an employer who ripped me off on pay. I filed an LLA-3 form with DOLI in VA, I asked for all of my 'ADVANCE' payments (illeagal garnishments SHOWN on my pay-stubs) to be returned. I was awarded the back pay, $395, $88 of that was for a wholesale priced clutch kit that I did recieve. Did I sign a reciept for it? No, I didn't, is it installed in my car? Yes it is indeed
Did he have any paperwork to prove I had been pay advanced for the cost of this item? No, did he run an auto parts business? Yes, who's fault is that....not mine! I considered it a small push-back for his dishonesty in the firstplace. In your case, you were asking for a refund you were fully entitled to.
A+ for using Pay-Pal, but you should have sought your refund as soon as you were entitled it. It would have put negative points on his pay-pal account. That almost happened to me because I dealt with Mail Boxes Ect., bad move, they stalled a $400 package for almost a month!
UPS ground ever since, it takes 7 days to reach coast to coast.
#2 the first thing I do when i mail a package, is send the tracking number to the buyer on email. Then they can monitor the progress, most don't but it is a comfort.
I always insist that I personally confirm the package was sent, even if I haven't heard from them in a negative way. I never even withdraw my funds or cash a MO until I get personal confirmation. I politly ask for feedback response in my thread, it doesn't always happen, but some people took the time. There are way more happy customers than my thread shows, I have a life myself, so i can understand that they had other things to do. I still confirmed that they recieved and were happy with my parts.
MY VOTE: BIG LOSER, In Boston they would simply call him a wanker! In VA or father south he would be trifle...
