87tpiz28 not exactly accurate

At http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/en...e-air-box.html (TPI base/air box/random items) he said he had an air box in good condition. That was not true.
I took a close look at it today and nothing seemed out of place, but I wanted to install it, just to make sure the thing actually fit without too much extra work, after all its 22 years old.
Well it took me longer to take the original one off than to put this one on.
There was not a single crack anywhere.
Every original wing nut was without a pit or showed any wear.
Every hole was perfect, none of them were even cracked or out of round.
The OEM spring wires were there too and worked perfectly.
It took less than 5 minutes to install it - even though my TPI is not in, and the hood closed without a single problem.
You would at least expect some fitment problems; something bent a little, a glue job to hide a crack, nothing at all.
I'm going to leave it in for a few days just to see if running on the fwy's will cause a noise, but some hard driving this am did not show any.

So he should have said - mint condition - it is.

Thanks 87tpiz28

JOB WELL DONE!
