I bought some stuff here on the forums and sadly not everything has made it's way over here. Weird thing is, on those items there were supposedly no tracking numbers available. This is weird because the cheapest intl. shipment available these days is USPS airmail parcel post and it comes with a tracking number.
I buy a lot of stuff, from Summit, Rockauto, Ebaymotors (almost 600 100% pos feedback from buying only) and everything makes it here just fine, also from other forums and online sales sites. Why is it that I have received many packages that have been shipped later than the parts I never got from here? Seems to me the stuff was never sent. I get at least a couple of shipments every week. Without the tracking numbers I have no way to verify the whereabouts or even prove whether something was sent or not.
Those people who supposedly sent me stuff after I paid them (immediately, I always pay right away) also don't reply to PMs. What a way to rip fellow thirdgen-ers of. Especially those who can't do a damn thing about it being overseas. So much for my US economy stimulus....
yeah, unfortunately there are a lot of d-bags on this site, and every other one for that matter. But also keep in mind, summit, jegs, ect are very large outfits, they ship hundreds if not thousands of packages a day, and do it quickly. Private parties, like people on TGO, are not always able to ship things next day, so a couple weeks is not a bad shipping time in my opinion.
However, just about every carrier has tracking numbers, if the person wont provide them, they most likely haven't shipped the item
According to the USPS employes intenatonal dont have tracking numbers. They use the customs number. Have shiped numerous things internationally and that what the post office told me.

What is this? EC950528XXXUS (I replaced some numbers w/ XXX this is just a tracking number from another package en route to me as we speak)?? That's a tracking number right or is it a customs number? If I enter it in track and trace it coems up just fine. That's not a customs number. All airmail packages come with a number like that. In the maybe 1000 packages I have received only those from here didn't have a number with them.
Still doesn't explain why the crap doesn't get here and people don't reply to PM. Basically I got ripped off. It's not like they're not reading their PMs, profiles say they have been active even today.
How long are we talking about and what are the items that are missing? In my experience there seems to be nor rhyme or reason to the time it takes to ship at the Post Office.
Once I shipped a box to New Zealand and it took six days. Another time I shipped to New Jersey and it took almost three weeks.
One a couple of months, the other a couple of weeks It never tales that long, usually with 3 or 4 days it's in customs here. Even if it was held up there for weeks it should have been here by now.
