Does anyone have an idea of the value of this car? It has high mileage, has true factory leather, but needs a little body work (small rust spot) that could be repaired by a quarter. Has never been wrecked. has a 1989 T/A 5.7L TPI/4A. Runs good.According to the literature, it was one of a handful of "factory-built ragtops (as opposed to ASC).

Hey guys, alot of really exceptional verts on here.... I've had my 91 RS about 10 years....need some work though.....bone stock....(for now...hehehe....)
Here is what my 89 IROC looks like as of now. Wont change this much this summer either, just some fresh paint on the front bumper, hood and lower valence.

Hey Speedy,
I just got a 91 Z convertible. I am also in Albany GA, for the summer anyway. Give me a yell sometime! Here are a couple of pics of mine. Needs some work and I probably paid too much for it, but I wanted the burgundy color baaad! lol Let me know what you guys think! It only has 84K miles and still all original including the cassette radio!

Here's my 1991 Z28 305 TPI/auto. Has high miles; about 170k, but still runs drives and looks great. I gave $3500 for it. So far, I replaced the water pump, coolant, hood and trunk supports, and got the power tonneu cover release to work. She's a great car and I love driving her with the top down. I get lots of looks in it. Next up is fixing the cruise so it works; it's all there just non working. Then I have to replace the fan switch in the head so the fans work (they are on an aftermarket harness right now, but the OEM wiring is there and they work as they should if the A/C is on).

Your 3rd picture shows the car almost red lining...but there isn't anyone in the car. Funny.
Just picked up my first third gen vert this weekend - 1992 TA, 60K miles, got it from the original owner that even saved the original wiper blades from the car! Best part - It's a 5 speed car too.....
future mods include... Ram Air II hood, 4th gen center console w/ shifter, new two tone paint, a 91-2 trans am front, and some things I haven't thought of yet.... hehehehe...

All factory original except for the battery. It just turned over 17k miles. I'm going to pull off the original VR50 gatorbacks. I'm worried about flying down the highway with 19 year old tires.
I would love to get the original battery back. I put it in my garage after it died in 1994 in hoping someday it could be rebuilt. A few years later we cleaned out the garage and I threw it out thinking it was the old battery from my '89 Regal GS. I'm still pissed about that one. If anybody has any leads on one let me know. Nobody seems to be making reproduction batteries for these cars. I wish I had a picture of it although I remember what it looked like.
I've been pulled over 3 times in 15 years for not having a front license plate. Required by law here. I refuse to put a front plate on it. Luckily I've only been given warnings and not tickets.
I just recently got some newer pictures of my convert, its been a project in the making for the last few summers, about 75% finished. Oh and for some of those who have asked about the light bar and some pictures, there you go. I am happy with it
hehe.. yea. it is a bit. but thats a problem thats fairly common in these cars. ive got another cluster, just havent tried it in the car yet. hopefully this weekend i can swap it a bit and see if that helps.

Was this car purchased off eBay? If so, I remember it!
Anyone else have a yellow 91-92 t/a vert? I have had mine for several years now and have not seen another yellow convertible in person and only a few on the internet. I will try to post some pictures soon. Jamaica yellow w/ black leather interior.

Awesome! My brother said he saw a yellow one once somewhere around Missouri. He lives in Columbia, Mo. Might have been yours b/c I doubt there are too many of them still on the street.
I haven't posted in this thread yet, so here are three pix: one at one of the LA area's many lakes; one in the mountains at about 5000 feet; and one outside of Willow Springs Raceway.

I wondering did you mention the interior and engine? I hadn't seen your bird but mine's been up here for over a year or two.
It's sitting in the apt. parking lot since the rear brakes locked up while driving. The business I am in is construction and despite the rollercoaster news reports, here we are laying off in summer and that's typically bad news. People in charge are worried about the future in this business... It keeps seemingly getting worse. I have no idea if my car will ever get rebuilt under my ownership and I'd love to drive it again ...someday

My car is a 1987 Commemorative Anniversiary IROC-Z with a TPI 305 5 speed. I bought it from the original owner who kept it in storage for 16 years. The car has 55,000 original miles and it is completely stock.

Welcome to the forum!
Any plans for your car or are you going to keep it mint?
This one has 5-speed, leather, preffered package, ltd slip.
Still working on the car very slowly, needs new paint some day, new top, new leather, fog lamps, and still a bunch more electrical work. Already fixed the spoiler, pwr to fogs, toneau release, trunk motor, tach., interior lights, stereo, and a bunch more. Once I have averything working I can start on making some more power!
I also have a 1987 IROC-Z Convert... but my car has had at least three other owners. It's very clean (score 983/1000pt at WCA winter nationals) and I would like to have some detailed photo's of your car for "restoration reference". Is that possible? Thanks
