1989 Pontiac Vert Documentation

Just wondering if anyone out there has any documention on the 1989 Pontiac's that were made into convertibles by ASC. I have letters from ASC, original brochures, letters from Pontiac, ASC build sheets (contains dealer names, #of vehicles ordered, date, and last 6 digits of the vin#) for 1989, but I do not know how the berakdown of the verts made are. Number of Firebirds, Formulas, Trans Ams, GTAs, and TTA, then the engine breakdown. What I would really like to have is the number of vehicles with the 5.7L that were converted and possible how many were just the Trans Am. I have read and from hearsay there were only 50 5.7L Firebirds made into vert in 89, but no one can back this up with documentation. Problem is Pontiac did not keep track of what or how many firebirds they sent to ASC and ASC did not keep track fo which models and etc they did. It's to bad they did not. So if anyone has info reply to the thread of e-mail me.

89 Trans Am, 5.7L, dual cats, 26K mi, every GTA option except power leath lumbar seats. All orig except new FireHawk SZ50 tires.

Thanks,
Ed

89 converts

I am not sure how many T/As were made but I believe ASC made approx 50 GTA converts that year.
