My car's RPO's

I doubt they are anything special, but who knows. I bought this car for $2000 from my step dad. It needs a new top, tranny and has 124k on it. Think I got an ok deal?

Not bad, your RPO list looks pretty complete. One thing I did notice is that you might want to look at the V73 RPO for the fixed antenna. That code should be U73 instead of V73.

If you like the car and don't mind putting the ~$1,500 into it, then yes, you got a good deal. It's not so much about the car's monetary value as it is how much happiness it brings you.

I was thinking of this very thing today as I was driving home topless from work. My car is still running pretty strong and the tranny shifts fine. I will need Ujoints in the next year or so... But the car has 150K on it. I was thinking is this car worth the cost of replacing an engine and tranny when the time comes. Right after this thought I carved a corner and had some cute blond in a Sebring convertible coming from the other direction wave at me!

I decided, yeah, it's worth it. The car is paid for and it won't need either of those things for quite a while. I think I will put back a little cash along to cover the expense when it gets here.

There's nothing like running around topless on a beautiful day!
