Production Numbers

I was looking at an 88 Convertible locally. I was reasearching prices and saw one on Ebay.

I read 3761 made in 1988. This individual says 45 were 5 speeds. That seems awefully low with 3761 produced.

I'd want a 5 spd car since I own a 5.7 auto t-top car now.

Once other question:

Any thoughts on the collectiblity of an 87-90 Iroc Conv. vs an 89 TTA?

Any thoughts on collectibility of 87-90 Conv vs a 88-90 1le car? personally, I'm not big into the "stripped of options" 1 LE, but I'm not looking at driving these much at all. Mostly looking for a car I most likely won't ever part with but will feel warm and fuzzies if it's worth a lot later on.

The 3761 number is most likely correct. That is the number that I have seen in most every listing of production numbers. However, I have no idea how the 45 number was determined. It is my understanding that production numbers for that type of information wasn't kept. I would like to wish it were true though!

As for your second question I am kind of biased towards the convertables myself.
