Temp Spare tire ????

Could someone tell me what size the temp spare tire is?? I can't get mine into the spot in the side of the trunk. It seems too big.
So I thought if I could get some direction on it that might help.
Thanks in advance.

One of these:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/br...ighlight=spare (15" spare and 4th gen rear brakes will fit...sort of...)

By the way, listing the type and year of car is useful in requesting info.

Your coupe topic is posted under Convertibles. You might have better responses in the right section.

Re: Temp Spare tire ????

Sorry friend.

Have you had any luck putting your spare in or determining it's size?

Did you see this other post here?
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/co...e-88-vert.html (spare tire?? 88 vert)
It has pics of my spare and how it's supposed to look when it's mounted.

Re: Temp Spare tire ????

No I haven't had any luck. I am sure I have a spare that is too big.
I also don't have the jack and such. I bought the car from the original owner and he was like 80 years old...He didn't even know that the rims had locking lugs. So I phoned the GM dealer he dealt with for all his service and they said that they had the locking key for the lugs there. LOL
He was a neat old guy but couldn't use a screwdriver!!
Oh well thank god he kept the car in great shape.
