I don't want to beat a dead horse but I have read and searched this topic. I just want to ask if anyone has any new info for the Marlboro Iroc Giveaway car. I purchased what is said to be a Marlboro giveaway car. All it has is an emblem on the passenger side fender. Nothing other than that is different about the car. (There are no burns in the seats!) Can this be researched somewhere with the vin? Somewhere Philip Morris has to have documentation on the Vins that were given away?
Good digging! Yeah, it's nothing promoted by Chevrolet. It's an independant company doing a sales promotion and offering 5 great prizes!!!. Would have been cool to win one!
Slap a decal on any car and call it anything you want. I hope you did not spend big buck for that decal??
Actually got a smokin (no pun intended) deal on it. The guy was a camaro collector and did not want it. I could car less if it was a giveaway car or not. I just thought it would be nice if someone has some info for the sweepstakes. I love the car and I am a lifetime non-smoker. I wanted a red convertible and started looking at the car more than 2 months before I bought it because I kept looking at other cars that were junk. This on has 0 rust and original paint with no pealing or fading. Sorry to ramble.
First part . . . Yeah, it's Mel. I coudn't resist such a goofy pic. Almost time for a change though.
'would have never guessed Mel Gibson, but then again, the image is real small. From "What Women Want" to "We were Soldiers"- the guy is a superb actor.

Second part . . . Yeah, how did you get that link?
It came up when I was searching the net for "Marlboro Iroc Giveaway car".
ALSO - While the "Marlboro" was not GM, it adds a little uniqueness to the vehicle. I think its cool. Boy I used to love to smoke; especially with a drink. I might even pick back up the habit again when I reach 80.
