If there is anybody nearby/ Upstate SC familiar with these cars please feel free to contact me. Car has 121,000 miles on it. Runs strong but there is a slow drip coming from I'm guessing the tranny. It will need a new clutch soon as well. I'm guessing this is the original....pretty impressive if that's the case.

I own the exact same identical car. Same options and everything including the color. The only difference I see is that mine came with the IROC wheels that were painted gold. Replaced those with 18 inch chrome IROC wheels

Very nice! Nice graphics on the console switches. That an original tonneau release switch? If so, any closer pics? I've never seen one of the originals with the graphics. Just got a hatch release switch, which I understand is different...correct guys?

guess those are impossible to find. I was on another thread asking about clearcoating the switches to protect them, someone said clear nail polish was good. I just put in new ones, was thinking about doing them.

oh, thanks much for the pic.

interesting thought...I think I'll take my worn-bare switch and have a go at it. Make a little template. I rebuilt my trim pieces above the windshield and front of the top over the winter. They were trashed so nothing to really lose. Came out great, I thought. Bought a busted set from JStoltz to maybe do for a tech article if mine hold up ok. Had missing pieces and everything. I'd insert a couple pics but I don't know how to do that yet. Insert image above asks for a URL.

if you have a torch you should bend your exhaust tip up to match the other one i would bend the passenger one up or vice versa. i had my muffler shop do mine while it was in they charged like 10 bucks to do it. Take a look and see if you can find the cause of the shift before you do it though maybe a bushing is gone or something twisted you never know.
And a tip I heard from plastic window in model cars, is that you grab a cup of "Future" the floor wax and let the plastic sit in it for awhile day or 2, then it will make clear plastic look like glass and gives it a protective coating once you let it harden.
But for plastic switches i would clearcoat them and maybe even wet sand them since its easy to do.

Wow, thanks admin. I was looking at aol for a way to do it, but manage attachments looks good. Trying with this pic. Restoration of top of windshield trim piece. Missing corner, made prifile base with sheet metal. Just a dry run on the image upload.
