I've got a new friend. A kid that is in my local Fbody club goes to school about a mile from my house. He said he wanted to come over and check out my Z28 and check out the progress with my LSX block. His car is a '91 Trans Am convertible, used to be grey but was painted Mazda Blue (even though it looks darker than mine in the picture, mine is actually about 2 shades darker in reality).
Sorry for the crappy cell phone quality:

Thanks. My Blackberry did some funky stuff to the coloring in the picture. Normally, my car would like about the same shade as his Trans Am appears in the picture. His is even lighter than it looks in the picture. The phone kind of flip-flopped the colors You can tell by the picture in my sig.
yeah i really like that mazda blue what do you think about that blue and then gunmetal gray heritage stripes? im needing some opinions on what would look good
Well if you like the Mazda Blue on his car, then you'll like the factory color on mine, because that's what it looks like in person.
I think my color blue (Ultra Blue Metallic) would look really cool with white heritage stripes... or maybe go with the Corvette Grand Sport theme with the single white stripe down the middle of the car with two red hash stripes on the driver side fender, with black ZR1's to boot. You'd have to do it in the correct blue though, which has more a purple-ish tint to it.
Looking good, man it was a beautiful weekend.
Tell Eric I want to buy a set of his seats, either the 3rd or the 4th.
Does he still have his car for sale?

Evan,
I talked to him tonight about selling the car. He sounded very on-the-fence about it. I think he just wants to be faster...I was in his shoes not too long ago.
I was showing him the glass window on the top, and wasn't even planning on taking a picture. Oh well. She's back in the garage now and she won't be coming out until her metamorphosis is complete.
Cars look good. How did you manage to get the Z28 emblem on your front grill area? Where did the fog lights go?
I removed the fog lights as well as the brackets for them. I took a piece of high quality black powdercoated mesh material and covered the grill and attached a Z28 rocker emblem offset on the right side.
Here's a link to the thread I made for it. I'll try and find pictures of when I was actually fabricating it.
WOW!!!! I also have a 91 . same color! I bought mine fromNevada, no rust.
just had her repainted. 383 stroker 4:56 rear end lowered 2 inches.
