The top frame on my '91 RS has a bent component which doesn't allow the driver side window to close properly. If I found a top frame from a '91 or '92 Firebird, would it match the Camaro frame, or would it only fit Firebirds?
85-88 are type 1
89 Type 2 (no headliner)
90 - 92 Type 2 (headliner)
Actually the most notable difference is the 88 & prior were slightly narrower... AND they used a different clamping mechanism, not sure the difference with the clamp honestly.

early cars had a "threaded pin" for lack of better description, that screwed into a hole with pins protruding in to it, where as the later had a cam that was rotated onto a hardened plate. I have both mechanisms "88 daily driver has pins and 92 parts car has the cam system. I will try to get pictures posted, incidentally my '88 has a lot of rust in the drip rail over the windshield, so I will be transplanting the '92 upper windshield frame (super clean) onto my "88. when I get started I'll start a thread to track progress. I will split it at the factory seams
