Here is the official confirmation that there will be a new convertable. While I don't personally own a soft top I was wondering if any of the convertible experts have done a comparison of the 3rd gen vs the 5th gen convertibles? What improvements (I am sure there are plenty) were made over the last two generations. Below is the release article from GM.

2011 Camaro Convertible officially confirmed for 2nd Quarter 2011
Although we didn’t get to see a production Camaro convertible at this morning’s GM live webcast as we had hoped, GM has in the follow-up session officially confirmed that the production of the 2011 Camaro convertible will begin in the second quarter of 2011! This is slightly later than the previously estimated Q1 production date, but we’ll take it!
This confirmation and announcement by GM comes to us via the special GM press conference/event held this morning in Detroit, the first part of which was a live webcast which focused mostly on the upcoming Chevrolet Volt.

Re: New Camaro Convertible is official-compare please
I'd like to see a pic of the '11 with the top down.
I like the look of the '11 Camaro hardtop, but just based on the pic above, the '11 vert looks a little fat and pudgy compared to the low and sleeker looking 3rd gen.
Just my opinion.
Is the new top power or manual (likely power)?
I'm also sure the new top has a glass rear window.
Blind-spots look about as bad in the rear corners.
When the top is down, the 3rd gen still has some usuable trunk space, I wonder what's left in the 5th gen?
