You mean the IROC door decals should be at the rear of the doors? Stripes are correct for an '88 though right?

They are in the wrong location. Should be on higher and on the body of the car, not on the ground effects moldings. Very likely the car has been repainted at some point in it's life, the original decals were removed and later replaced, or, it has the RPO DX3 (which was new beginning in '88 for a "stripe delete" option ) and somebody did their best to add the decals.

Black windshield surround-
Previous owner put in a new windscreen and had the frame sprayed satin black. I have Road & Track from 86 with the exclusive on the verts and interestingly the surround is also black. Personally I like it
