Sneeky rust area

On top of the rear innner fender housing over top of the wheels there are some small rubber plugs that were falling apart allowing water to come in under the barabond stuff allowing rust to start. You may be able to check the area with the wheel off to see if rust has started.I didn't know these plugs were in there until I decided to remove all the factory seam sealer that was falling off.

I chose to just make some plugs and weld them in,not sure what the reason for the rubber plugs are anyway.

Re: Sneeky rust area

I think those plugs were there to allow the water to drain out since thats where it collects when it runs off the top
