Looking at 91Z Conv, is it a good deal?

Here is the specs.
91 Z convertible
305, 5 speed
82K miles
new tires, clutch and brakes
runs and drives nice.
not a spec of rust on it, garaged car.

bad:
was re-painted original color, but has orange peel. Best case scenerio I can get it wetsanded and maybe need another coat of clear.
interior is good (no cracks on interior panels, just has a couple small holes in driver seat. I would get 4th gen leather anyways.

top was replaced, but guy poke a pencil tip sized hole it one corner. Will be a garagd car though.

asking $4700, but I think I can get it for 4K.

I even attached a pic. Well, I tried but photbucket isnt working for me.

Sound like a good deal?

Sounds like it's probably worth the $4700 he's asking. TPI?

Re: Looking at 91Z Conv, is it a good deal?

I have a 91 Z28 vert just like the one you are looking at. Check out my page. There are some before and after pics. I paid 5K. Looks like yours (at least paint wise) is in nicer shape than when I bought mine. The only diff is mine had 37K for mileage. Unfortunately it was left outside too much. I thought I got it for a steal, and I think that 4K would be a nice price for a nice Zvert. Good luck!

Re: Looking at 91Z Conv, is it a good deal?

I got it for $3,900
thanks for the advice guys.

Now it is off to get it dropped and on 18s and a cat back.

then see what I can do to add some pep to this 305. Never modded anything but a L98 before. Hopefully there is some potential in the 305 because I dont want to bore or swap engines.

The 305 is very peppy with the 5-speed! Add some headers, muffler, an under-drive pulley, accell igntion kit and you should be set for a while until you want more HP!
