Convertible Top Glue?

Hey everyone, I have a problem a year ago I installed my new top with glass window. I used the glue suggested for the installation but for some reason or another it has started coming up around the very back bow. Any suggestions for different type of glue? Unfortunately I don't remember what glue I used and have lost it since.

Yes, 3M contact cement...comes in a white tube, is translucent yellow and costs about $10 a tube. Once you glue with it the item needs to bond for at least 24 hours.

Re: Convertible Top Glue?

landau top glue is what's used.don't trim the back edge too much, let it go into the weatherstrip channel on one side and make sure the aluminum bow isn't oxidized ,flaking off the black top coat. glue is avail. in green and clear/yellow.3M stuff and reg. rubber cement isn't as good and dosn't hold up in wet conditions. we buy it from upholstery supply places like THE JOHNSON CO., MIAMI RUBBER,THREE RIVERS,ect... . if you need a top ask one of them for an EZ-ON TOP brand of tops, fit is always perfect and MADE IN THE U.S.A. SC. . good luck, NORTH JERSEY AUTO TOP AND UPHOLSTERY.
