I removed the old side spoiler pieces from my 88 IROC vert, because they were all cracked, covered with bondo, and had screws drilled through them. I had an extra set, and tried to install them, but they are very hard to line up properly, and whenever I "thought" they were lined up right, the trunk would hit both of them. Is the adhesive that ASC put on the outside part of the spoiler actually pull the top of the spoiler ends towards the outside of the car, and thus, away from the trunk lid? I didn't have any trim adhesive, but if that is my problem, I will try that. Is the adhesive strong enough to hold down the spoilers without screws?

I have no idea, never had to take mine off

and I do have a spare set sitting on a shelf, but nothing to test it on

Isn't there a screw under the deck lid opening that kinda helps them line up?

There are 3 screws that follow along the inside, when I tighten them, it just brings the top of the spoiler ends towards the trunk lid..

I used the adhesive they use to hold windshields into place and it worked great on mine. Just an idea you might wanna look into. It came in a black tube and I am pretty sure 3m made it.

I'd like to subscribe to this since I wanna temporarily remove the spoiler on my 91 T/A 'vert... wondering if I'd run into any problems.

try using medium strength loctite and not tightening the screws as tight as they will go(just until everything lines up). also some adhesive underneath.

I did some 3m trim adhesive underneath, and put a screw in the tail end of one side, and the plastic broke, and the back of the spoiler is up higher (off of the car, not connected) Its just real frustrating....
