Where is the coolant fan switch located?

I have a 91 RS with a single fan. I am tring to figure out why my fan is not comming on. I think that it must be a faulty switch because i checked the relay and the fan turns on with the a/c. Where is this switch located? Is it in the side of the head or in the intake manifold? Or is it even on the engine at all?

da switch

hi camaro man,,,, just curious--did replacing the switch resolve the problem any? i have the same exact problem word for word as you had said!HA! my fan only works when i turn on the a/c,new relay,fuse is good,i replaced the switch too and ......? my guess/conclusion is that there might be an intermittent short somewhere because sometimes she fires up and sometimes she doesnt,with the a/c off.....so...?
let me know k?
ps im glad you believe in the great spirit,man!-brad

Actually, i havent even tackled the coolant fan switch yet...I have had so many other little problems that I have to worry about first because I just put the engine in like the Oil pressure switch/sending unit having to change that...water temp gadge sending unit (located on intake manifold right?), rebuilding the q-jet i bought. Blah blah blah. But hey, when I do get it figured out...I will try to remember to let you know. Right now I am just using the Air Conditioning circut until I can fix it for good. Oh, and about the Lord....I dont know where I would be without him...after I got this engine in that I have been saving up for 3 years I was like, well this is nice but without Christ I would still feel empty! Praise him for his fullness in Grace!! Take care man!!
