howdy too all
i want to get an electric fan for my car and wire it up with a switch in cabin so after i warm up i can turn it on or off as i see fit.
my questions:
1. what size fan and what cfm are apropriate?
i was thinking 14inch summit fan the moves around 1250cfm to 1500cfm.
2. what do i wire the fan to to power it, wire it in to a fuse or what?
i have never added an electrical accesory to my car or any car, to me it seems like i wire a power source with a switch in the middle of the wire that is in the cabin. tell me the most effecient way to go about this
3. im guessing but i can just take off the stock belt driven fan and just let the thing spin free, is this ok?
4.does any one forsee problems i might encounter?
im asessing the process to see how much its worth it, id like to have increased cooling of electric fan as well as less noise they produce as compared to belt fan roar, i hate that.
thanks for all help.
tell me what worked for you and how easy it was too, maybe theres a better way, i have no problem doing the switch my self in the car with my own fingers, sometimes i wish i could.

you can just cut the + wire that goes to the fan..run it inside to a switch then to a fuse that's on when your car accessories are on, like, radio..that should work..it's ghetto..but it works..
