How to hook up my heater core. - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I went from a 86 TPI 305 to a 74 block 350 carbed and i wanna hook my heater core back up.

not sure how to do it since the old heater core was hooked up through the throttle body.

any thoughts?

if pics are needed i can get them.

Where on the engine are the fittings for the hoses? If there is one on top of the manifold beside the thermostat housing, and one on the water pump you can use those.

which way should we hook it up... does it matter?

The heater core itself won't care which way the coolant flows through it, but the fittings on it are two different sizes - 5/8" and 3/4". Generally, the 3/4" is the inlet coming from the fitting on the intake manifold. Here's how I have them routed on my Formula
