what are your experiences with aftermarket elec. fans?

i'm finally getting around to putting my T/A back together after it's been sitting in pieces for a couple of years. one of the things i'm trying to fix this time around is the cooling system.
the car itself is a junkyard creation, with parts from several firebirds (afaik). it came to me with a carb, although it has burnt up harnesses for tpi..(it's an 86). it also had a cut down mechanical fan on it from some other vehicle, and no fan shroud. this, i assume was the main cooling problem.

so, this time, i threw in a three core Z28 radiator in place of the skinny one that came with it, and i'm planning to stick an electric fan in it.

my question is, which brands/models have you guys had luck with? i want to stay away from the stock stuff since my "shroud" pieces and wiring harnesses/computer are all hacked up. it will be easier to just run some new wires and strap this thing to the rad supports.

I have a flex-a-lite 180 on my 82 Z. It's kind of expensive but is working great so far. Keeps the temps down even when in 95 degree weather (almost every day here on Curacao :P) Wiring this thing is also very easy. Even when using the temperature controlled fan controller.
