Car: '89 Flame red metallic GTA!! Engine: L98 Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 3.27 | vacuum and coolant hoses I have just finished setting up my radiator-oil cooler - heater valve hoses set up. I am attempting to set it up the way the factory had them set up before I start tinkering with the car too much. So here is how I have it set up; I just need verification from anyone if this sounds right or screwy!!
1) one hose from the oil cooler goes to the radiator (top/passenger side, just underneath the radiator fill cap)
2) the other hose from the oil cooler goes to the passenger frame rail where it connects in a "T". One of the hoses from the T goes up to the heater valve and one continues back to the firewall (and of course the third one from the oil cooler)
3)At the heater valve, I have one hose that comes from the "T" mentioned above. Another hose that goes from the heater valve to the firewall. And one hose that goes to the throttle body.
I think that covers the hoses that go back and forth between the heater valve, heater core, radiator, and oil cooler. Let me know if this is correct.
Thanks. | | | |
