Top Rad Hose Burst and is leaking

I never knew how to get rid of that airlock and it was there since I bought the car (3 weeks ago). Partially it was fixed by Mr.Lube guys who did rad flush, but not fully :-( and they told me that. So after some normal driving from mall back home I parked car.

After about 5 minutes I look back outta my wondow and I see vapours pouring from under the hood, it looked like an explosion occured inside the engine bay. So I approached and saw coolant on the ground leaking away, a spray of coolant all over, opened the hood and there was hissing from the top rad hose with vapours coming out and everything was covered in coolant , WTF? .

What's to do? I WANT to pin point the problem here, want to know what needs to be replaced (i.e. just that faulty hose?)... OR HOW TO GET RID OF THAT AIRLOCK ONCE AND FOREVER?

If you have a leak, you're not airlocked, you're losing coolant. Replace the hose or whatever needs to be done to fix the leak.

I don't know if this applies to your year setup, but the top hose on mine has a factory-added plastic sleeve to make it more rigid. Without it, the hose can wind up rubbing on the compressor pulley.

Dood, don't have a hissy fit, we've all blown a radiator hose at one time or another. No big deal.. Just replace the hose, refill the coolant and be done with it.

I'd put a new radiator cap on it too just to be safe.
