What to clean water passages and cooling system with?

I have quite a bit of rust in my block that is tainting my coolant. What can I use to run through the motor to clean out all the passages???

Thanks man, if I ever get the car running I'll give that a shot.

Anymore suggestions while I'm at it? Is there anything off the shelf I might be able to buy that would work for this?

I've used Prestones Super Rad. Cleaner before. Works pretty well. If it's really bad, though, an acid flush might be called for.

Re: What to clean water passages and cooling system with?

Not so much the rust but some of the buildup in the coolant will block small passeges where leaks have formed... so sometimes when really flushing and cleanin your rad you might uncover leaks...
