Overheating, fans?

I went to the track the other day and while sitting in the long line (after my first run, consider it "traffic") my car got up to 240* had to open the hood and push. It normally doesnt get any hotter than 220* (we have no traffic here) and on the thruway its like 180. I have a 70/30 water/antifreeze mix, radiator is clean, it has a 180* stat and fan swith is like a 200*. It has dual fans. Only the DS fan comes on, the PS fan never comes on even if i put the ac switch on (ac is deleted). So im thinking i need to wire up that PS fan to the ignition. thoughts?

Re: Overheating, fans?

The track always kills your car. even good daily drivers end up sitting on the side having been pushed out of the way.

After a few runs you will overheat, get a stronger fan and better radiator if your gonna race a lot.

You can't call it "traffic" you don't go full bore down to a dead stop ?+ times in a short period of time. in jersey we go from 80mph down to dead stop to look at the crashed cars infront of us, and sit there for a long time, but still not as high a demand.

Thats my $0.02
