Walkthru for a Hayden fan control switch.

Have a Hayden fan control switch on order and I was wondering if anyone has done one that can give a walkthru of what exactly they did. I did a search and found one brief description but it wasn't enough to help me. While I'm mechanically inclined anything related to wiring is pretty foreign to me. I'm hoping someone can tell me step by step what they did. This wire was connected here, ran this wire to here and connected it to this wire etc...

Thanks for any help...

No reply to my e-mail. I guess the address is old and no longer monitored.
