Re: radiator fan problem, scrubs and blows fuses

My 91 did the same thing except it did not blow fuses. It was just stuck. You have to remove the fan and housing and cut away the housing part that is touching the fan. Works good after that. Do not buy a new fan. It is the housing. Good luck.

Re: radiator fan problem, scrubs and blows fuses

omg thanks! i woulda never thought of that, im gonna cut away at it when i get up in the morning. its weird i dont see how its blowing the fuses so fast, it sounds like its barely scrubbing, i had the same problem too 2 weeks after i got it it locked up cus the fan was stuck and i didnt know it. had to replace the engine and trans. thanks again man.

another thing.. i can turn the fan with my hand easy and it doesnt make the noise it only does it when its on, i guess its got to get enough speed to scrub or something, i cant t to cut it out though ill do it tomorrow and go get my exhaust put on

Re: radiator fan problem, scrubs and blows fuses

May want to check the fan when it is out of the car. Mine did not blow the fuse even though it was locked. I think this is normal, but I am not an electric motor expert. Good luck.
