Replace the heater core.

It's overheating because there's less coolant to absorb the heat the engine makes (since it's leaking out the heater core, all over your carpet).

Yep, swap it out and you'll be golden. It (the heater core) hooks up to the heater hoses in the engine bay, so the only way it can leak into the cabin is if the core itself has sprung a leak (which yours has).

yeah its a PITA. it dosent hurt to flush your rad while your at it. But, taking it out is the easy part. just get a few 1/4 inch extensions and you will be fine. the hard upper left screw is easy when you pull off the top dash cover so you can get two hands on it. Most of the screws are all the same for the dash. Instaling it is the hard part. getting it through the firewall with out bending the hoses badly. The core will run you about 20 to 30 bucks at a napa or autozone. good luck!

If anyone is ever so broke to the point where you cant afford a heater core or need a temporary fix, just remove both hoses and connect them with a union.

(By-passing the heater core)

Jstuck,

Standard English would be more easily understood: spelling and punctuation.

Re: Coolant Leaking inside the camaro on the passenger side when using the defrost!!!

There is really no reason to remove the dashboard. I changed mine in about a half an hour. You just need to remove the kick panel and use a 6" ratchet extension. There is only one tough bolt. It's the upper middle one. Just slide the extension in there and you can guide it with your other hand. When you put the bolt back in use a little chewing gum or whatever to hold the bolt onto the socket and set it back in. Here's a crude drawing.
