My vents are covered underneath the hood with that black foam insulation. You wouldn't get the benefits of the ram air hood with the stock hood.

Re: ram air question

my foam was removed and the vents go directly through. thats the same spot the ram air vents are located pretty much though, right? I know it wouldnt be as functional as the ram air hood but im just looking for a little better air flow until i can get the hood.

Re: ram air question

i'd think any air coming in could potentially help. just be safe about it and dont leave it wide open so that rain, dirt, etc can get in.

thats what im wondering. if the air will travel at least a little bit into the filter or would i be better off with the stock intake?

You'd definately want a filter of some kind. But I don't know of any pre-built intakes, that connect the TB to the stock vents.

Figure out how to seal a filter to the hood (like the RAI hood is done) & you'd be set!
