radiator fit issues

I got a "direct fit" Jegs Aluminum radiator, and it definitely doesnt fit. Called them up and they said that GM used different radiator sizes for 305 and 350 cars. I had a 305 in mine originally and he said that the 350 cars had a different lower mount. How can i make this thing fit? as of now it is too tall for the top cowl mount to bolt up. I have an 87 firebird, single stock electric fan. Thanks.

Re: radiator fit issues

I bought a universal one from summit that was way too tall like 3 or 4 inches all I did was cut like 3 quaters of the bottom tray out and brace the remaining with metal stap. then went to ace hardware and bought some aluminum strap and bent them into a bracket then drilled some holes mounted the brackets loose lined them with some heater hose for protection installed the radiator tighted the brackets works great
