I replaced my blower motor...

Like the title says, I recently replaced the blower motor in my 91 Camaro. I bought the motor from O'Reilly, and I swapped the round fan from the old one. I used black RTV to "seal" the motor to the A/C box. The motor works fine, but there is not a large volume of air coming from the vents. Is this normal? could the resistor be bad therefore not allowing the blower motor to turn at max speed? The A/C blows ice cold, but with a low volume of air, it can't keep the interior cool enough on those 100 degree days. Any knowledgeable input would be greatly appreciated.

Probably. Our cars aren't known for the efficiency of their air systems.
