Fans stopped working

Just bought a 91 Z28 5.7 and the AC went out. So I fixed that now the Fans don't turn on. I checked the fuses they are all good. Any Ideas?

Re: Fans stopped working

Have you checked the relays? There should be relays for the fan on the drivers side firewall just to the right of the brake master cylinder. If you have the A/C on the fan should run constantly.

Re: Fans stopped working

you dont really have to replace them, there are ways of testing them. You can use a test light to test them. Im not sure about your car, but my car had one more relay that you should check by the passenger side front. Should be on the same wiring for the fan.

Re: Fans stopped working

Take a peice of wire, strip both ends off a little bit. Pull the two wires off for the temp sending unit that the electric fans attach to. Stick the wire onto the wire that run to the electric fans to complete the circuit. Do your fans turn on now? If not their is something wrong with the fans or a fuse. This method is bypassing all relays and sending units temporarily.
