4 Core Radiator Fit?

I have an 84 that I put a 355 in and I want to put a 4 core radiator in it without spending an arm and a leg. I bought a radiator for a 1970 firebird from Advance and it was about two inches too long, does anyone know of a vehicle that came with a 4 core radiator that would fit a third gen?
Thank you for your time,
Matt

Re: 4 Core Radiator Fit?

Why do you want a 4-core? I doubt anyone makes one. Try looking for aftermarket radiators, most 31x19's for chevys will fit with only a little modification, but even if you could find a 4-core, it won't be a bolt-in.
BTW, if you need a 4-core to cool a 355, something is wrong, or you are making a LOT of power with it, maybe 1000 hp?

Of possible interest: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/co...guys-want.html (So you guys want a bolt in all aluminum 3 core radiator?)

Re: 4 Core Radiator Fit?

Get a 3 core off of ebay for $200. There's no way you need a 4 core.

All you need is a big 2 core radiator from Griffin/Becool and others
designed for our cars.
With Minor install mods.
Handle 6-700 HP.

Re: 4 Core Radiator Fit?

If you can do a little fabrication.....here's a pic of the 159.00 31x19 one from summit. It's NOT a direct fit radiator, a little trimming and fab is required, but it's about the biggest radiator that will physicallyfit between the third gen "frame rails".
