Heater Problem

I converted my car over to A/C delete and I have the box and blower motor and everything installed on my car. The problem that I am having is that the heater isn't blowing as strong as it should be. Also, what I noticed is that the blower motor only runs when the heater swtich is in the low or high position, not either setting in between. Could I possibly have messed the wiring up somehow when changing it over? Do I need the a/c delete heater controls? Could anybody who has done the a/c delete swap give me a hand here?
