84 T/A temp sensor wire location

i have an 84 T/A that the previous owner blew the 5.7 he put in, and it was almost ready to be pulled when i got it.
and with the origonal 5.0 long gone and i didnt unplug thing to get this one out, i cant find the wires for the temp sensor
the chilton guide says a yellow wire goes to #3 on the ecm, and a black

i dont have a clue, never messed with electrical in cars before
any help or real clear pics would be apreciated

well, im not exactly sure, but I am pretty sure the ECM should be underneath the dash on the passenger side, and the wiring goes into the front passenger fender and then into the engine bay some how

atleast thats where mine was
